To go from Staré Křečany to our next destination, the Kyjovské Valley, we will pass by the river springs of Mandava, which were cleaned up and are now maintained as a rest place by the Czech Tourist Club. From here we will follow a road between forests and pastures all the way to the village of Brtníky, which is the border village of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The countryside suddenly completely changes and our next journey continues through a picturesque valley with deep rock canyons and through a deep forest.
Here our path is marked with a green tourist sign leading us to Štemberk (the former hunting chateau) and our journey continues through a beautiful old alley to the village of Kopec (Hill). From here the road runs along the border of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, which is also followed by Brtnický Brook. It is the youngest from all hipo-trails on the territory of the National Park, which was established thanks to the contributions of the EU, Ústí nad Labem county, the Administration of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park and REGIOcentrum o.p.s.
We are riding through one of the most beautiful parts of Bohemian Switzerland. When we reach the extinct border settlement of Zadní Doubice we begin to follow the road running along the Křinice River towards the crossroad called the Tourist Bridge, where we can relax for a while in the picturesque rocky valley.
We continue further on the marked hipo-trail until we reach the village of Kyjov, where we can take a swim in the local Kyjovská Dam and rest in one of the local charming guesthouses. From Kyjov we follow the hipo-trail to the village of Doubice. Here we may leave our horses in the local horseback riding club and make use of the many available accommodation services. The Village of Doubice is best known among connoisseurs of good food. But for us it is important that many hipo-trails start here and lead to centre of Bohemian Switzerland.

You may rent a horse for this trip only if you are a very experience rider and after the prior agreement and approval of the tour guide. Experienced riders can saddle up Starokladrubské horses, who are very well trained and their riding style will make your trip more pleasant. Less experienced or inexperienced riders may choose to take a ride in a buggy (horse carriage) pulled by Kladruby horses of course. The route is not difficult. It includes only a small uphill climb and then downhill ride, partially on paved and asphalt roads, allowing you to pass through easily.
Additional info: At AP Ranch you may park a horse transportation trailer in an enclosed area.
