This area is situated south of the Jetřichovice Rocks, in the south west there is the national border that is formed by the Křinice Stream, and in the west the area links up with the region of Vysoká Lípa past Česká silnice on the way from Vysoká Lípa to the former settlement of Zadní Jetřichovice; in the south this area borders with the Kyjovské Valley. The towers are scattered along the rocky ridges and valleys of this extensive wooded area on the edge of Czech Switzerland. The area consists of extensive rocky labyrinths making it difficult to find your way; you must search for the towers. The not very high towers are of soft sandstone (a ban on climbing when wet).

A natural starting point is the former hunting chateau Na Tokání. Accessible on foot from the turning from the Dolní Chřibská - Doubice Road or follow marked routes from Jetřichovice (ČSAD bus) or Rynartice (ČSAD bus). The west part is easier to access from Česká silnice (from ČSAD bus stop Vysoká Lípa - hostinec/pub); the southern part can be accessed from Doubice (ČSAD bus) taking the Doubická track. The area is a part of the Elbe Sandstone Protected Landscape Area. There are no camping or accommodation facilities. As there are some strictly protected animal species, climbing is prohibited in spring and summer in the area of ca. 1 km along the Křinice Stream. There are phone lines in the surrounding villages, and during the season also at Na Tokání.
