The complex of the present- day Teresa Spa was built by Dr Becher in
1870 as a "Therapeutic Water Institute". The Teresa Spa is located on the
southern slope of the Krušné Mountains at 420 metres above sea level. The spa is located in a
peaceful part of Dubí, not very far from the Church of the Virgin Mary. The spa was
named after the wife of the builder who built the spa, and the spa was visited by
many prominent figures; the spa offers all possible comfort
and services one might require. The therapeutic spring of hydrogen carbonic
acidulous water is prescribed to treat patients after brain injuries, operations
of the spine and the brain, polio and other illnesses.
The layout of the spa buildings reminds us of an upside down letter Y.
The entrance to the spa is on the southeastern side and it will lead you into a picturesque
square with greenery, a small fountain and a statue of a girl
by the arcades of the spa building. In the northern part of the spa the guests to the spa will find a beautiful
garden with a pool, greenhouses and paved paths for peaceful
strolls.
