In the foothills of the Krušné Mountains you will find the Jezeří Chateau balancing on the edge of a surface mine. The original medieval castle was turned into a Renaissance chateau in 1549. In the 17th century it burned down and it was rebuilt in the early Baroque style. The large oval hall turned into a theatre and the Chapel of the Sorrowful Virgin Mary with its stucco decorations are particularly worth noticing. Although the chateau is undergoing reconstruction, some parts of it can be accessed.
