If you decide to visit the Husův Peak near the village of Hostomice, time your visit for the last week April. That is the time when the local slopes turn yellow as Adonis vernalis (spring pheasant's eye) is in bloom. Thanks to this protected plant the Husův Peak became a natural heritage site. The south-west and southern slopes are the best if you wish to examine this plant. In addition to the Adonis vernalis you will also be able to see other protected thermophilic plants such as Alyssum montanum, Stipa capilata, Pulsatilla pratensis and Asparagus officinalis. An information desk describing the protected area is located by the road from the car park to the southern slope of the Husův Peak.
