One of the best places for a swim around Teplice, and maybe even the whole of north Bohemia is this former brown coal pit. The former pit has been flooded with good quality spring water and in places the depth of the reservoir is 60 metres. Thanks to the good quality of the water and its clarity, the water reservoir is used for training purposes by divers,

and for sailing and windsurfing. Having a dip in such clear water is more than pleasant and the banks of the reservoir offer numerous refreshment stalls serving thousands of visitors from the regions of Teplice, Duchcov and the wider surroundings.
