The most suitable starting point for this trip is the small rest area in the second turn on the road from Osek to Dlouhá Louka (Long Meadow). A forest path separated by a gate arm joins this road here. Also the marked bike trail No. 3011 from Osek to Rýzmburk follows this road. Here we may park our car and take the bike trail /blue sign/ going towards Ryzmburk (2 km). The road will lead us via a slightly rising /1-2/ cross-path. When we see the view of a mighty rock with a castle built on it for the first time, we will be just 300 m from the tourist place called Nad Osekem (the Educational Trail from Osek measures 10 km. If we follow the blue sign then Dlouhá Louka is 2.5 km away) . From the tourist spot Nad Osekem we will continue in the same direction and follow the bike trail for about 400 m. When we pass the rocks of the Wolf Mine, we have to undertake a 100 m long steep downhill ride in order to get to the entrance to the castle, where we also find a crossroad sign for the ruins of Rýzmburk Castle. You should definitely visit one of the largest freely accessible castle ruins from the 13th century. Then we will follow the red sign direction towards "Pod Stropníkem" (3 km), "Pod Vrchem tří pánů" (Under the Peak of the Three Lords) (7 km). (Dlouhá Louka 9.5 km (Long Meadow) During our journey to Pod Stropník we will be mostly climbing uphill - difficulty /2/. For the following 2.5 km, until we reach Vysoká mýť, we will continue our climb but this time on a slightly steeper slope /2-3/. For a while we will leave the red sign road and follow the bike trail and marked ski tracks. In Vysoká mýť the red road will join us again and we shall follow it for the next 1.5 km, until we reach a place called "Pod vrchem Tří pánů" (Under the Peak of the Three Lords). When we reach Vysoká mýť, our climb from the foothills of the Krušné Mountains to the hill terrace is over. Deep down below us we left steep rocky slopes and beech forests behind. In front of us we can see slightly hilly plains. At the place called Pod vrchem Tří pánů (Under the Peak of the Three Lords) you may select another shorter route for this trip and follow the red sign for 2.5 km until you reach "Dlouhé Louky (Long Meadows)", or you may continue to explore other beautiful sights of the Krušné Mountains. In this case, follow the yellow sign until you reach "Vrch tří pánů" (Peak of the Three Lords) (1.5 km). An easy and comfortable climb /1-2/ will take us to Vrch tří pánů (Peak of the Three Lords), lined with ancient oaks. From here we will take a downhill ride (3.5 km) and follow the red sign towards "Vilejšov – an abandoned village". While riding downhill we can admire many beautiful views. Our ride ends at the bank of the Flájský Brook. Here we should cross the brook and continue to follow the tourist sign. However, if there is no bridge (the last footbridge was destroyed by the flood in 2002), do not try to attempt to cross the brook, especially in winter. Flájský Brook, although very beautiful, can reach depths of 1 m and it is very cold. Just follow the left bank until you see a forest trail on your left side. Take this path uphill for about 100 m and you will see a green tourist sign marking a road, which comes from nearby Vilejšov – an abandoned village – and continues towards "Pod Vrchem tří pánů" (Under the Peak of the Three Lords). After a moderate 4 km long climb /1-2/ you will reach Pod vrchem Tří pánů. Here we take a right turn and follow the red sign towards "Dlouhá Louka" (2.5 km). At Dlouhá Louka we may enjoy refreshments offered by the nearby PANORAMA guesthouse and then continue on a bike trail (2 km) towards "Rýzmburk" and "Osek" until we reach Vysoká mýť. Now our road will go down towards "Pod Stropníkem" and towards the "Ruins of Rýzmburk Castle", all the way down until we reach our starting point. Total length 31.5 km.
