The church was built in the Neo-Gothic style in 1893 - 1895. This cultural heritage has been owned by the village of Libochovany since 2008, and the church is slowly being repaired. Local citizens and friends of the village have been donating money for the repair of the roof, the main tower and the tower clock. The roof repair has been financed by the village with the help of the Ministry of Culture, the State Agricultural Intervention Fund and municipal means. The interior of the church, the altar, benches, the pulpit and the organ are original. The church bells were requisitioned in the First and the Second World Wars. The church is used for religious ceremonies - masses, weddings, christenings, funerals. From time to time the village organises musical performances in the church.
