Libouchec Castle is situated in the valley of the Jílovský Stream between the slopes of the Eastern Krušné Mountains, the České středohoří Mountains (Central Bohemian Uplands) and Labské Sandstones.

Major reconstruction works started in 2004. At the moment it is possible to explore only the exterior of the castle, but the owners are working very hard to make the castle accessible to the public and to open up the castle premises for various events.
