The Vochlická observation tower was built in 1881 by the Lubenec Tourist Club. As the observation tower had no roof, it started to fall into disrepair very fast. What's more, after the Second World War and after 1968 the tower along with the local woods were used by Russian soldiers and the locals were afraid to go into the woods. The observation tower started to fall into oblivion. In 2007 this romantic building, covered in rosehip bushes, was taken under the auspices of the association "For the Preservation of St Giles' Church". Thanks to the various volunteers and sponsors, this extraordinary and beautiful building was saved from complete destruction and it was officially opened on 28/ 8/2010.
