The cinema, also housing a library, is situated at a strategically good place, right in the centre of the town near a bus stop, it has disabled access and it is the largest public building in town.

The first library in Meziboří opened in 1963. Since 1991 the library has been situated in the cinema building.

There are ca. 22,000 books in the library. In 2001 a computer room with six PCs was installed in the library.

The cinema has been operating since 1999. The cinema is a multi-purpose venue that can be used not only for showing films, but also for theatre performances, music concerts, school events, etc. The cinema hall has a capacity of 323 seats.
