Our trip begins in the small village called Mezní Louka. From the crossroad sign we will follow the red sign towards "Pravčická brána" (Pravčická Gate) (6 km.) After going uphill /2/ for about 1 km, we will see the first massive rocks on our right hand side. We shall walk along these rocks on a small and narrow path. Shortly after that on our left hand side among the trees, we will see a deep valley lined on both sides with other sandstone rocks. We will pass through a unique and large rock town while following the Educational Trail called Czech - German Friendship Trail and then around Křídelní stěny (Wing Wall), Pevnosti (Fortress) and Velkého Pravčického kužele (Large Pravčický Cone).
From the crossroad sign for Pod Pravčickou bránou we must make a 300 m long climb /2/, which will take us to the largest sandstone bridge in Europe. Close to the Pravčické brána we will find a restaurant called Sokolí hnízdo (Falcon's Nest). To get in you have to pay an entrance fee. After you pay, you will be able to see a 21 m tall and 30 m wide rocky window and admire the monumentality and supremacy of the Elbe Sandstone area from three different viewing points.
To go back to the Pod Pravčickou bránou crossroad sign we follow the red sign down /2/, and around the turn to the Jeskyně Českých bratří (Cave of Czech Brothers) (the cave is located 200 m to the left along the rocks) and further down on a road lined with various rocky formations, all the way to the valley. When we reach the crossroad signTři prameny (Three Springs) we will see a road going towards "Hřensko – Klepáč Hotel" (1.5 km). In a deep valley where the Kamenice River joins the Elbe River, we will visit the border village of Hřensko, where we can find the lowest altitude point of the Elbe River on the territory of the Czech Republic (115 m above sea level). Thanks to the attractiveness of the landscape around this little town we will find many restaurants, hotels and souvenir stores here.
Behind the crossroad sign for U hotelu Klepáč we will cross the bridge and take a left turn to follow the yellow sign all the way to the rocky canyon of the Kamenice River. After we have walked about 2 km from the crossroad sign for Tichá soutěska–převoz you may renta boat for a small fee and continue through the beautiful rocky gorge. Boat rides are accompanied by funny commentaries of ferrymen, who point out various rocky scenes for us, including the "Czech Niagara Falls" - an artificially triggered waterfall.
From this transfer station with a restaurant, we continue along the Yellow River over Mezní můstek (Limiting Bridge) towards Divoká soutěska (Wild Ravine/Gorge), where for the same fee we can get on a ferry boat again and go through another equally beautiful canyon. At the terminal station, we can take a look at the "Green Lake", located inside the rocks and then we will proceed farther along the yellow sign for about 1.5 km and undergo a moderate climb /1-2 / until we reach the crossroad Ve strži. In the ravine we turn left and start following the blue sign uphill /1-2 / until we reach Mezní Louka, where the trail ends.
