A replica of a mediaeval glass making workshop forms a part of the Glass Making Nature Trail and it can be found in the locality known as Upper Moldava.
Based on an archeological research carried out by ČSAV Praha, Most Branch in 1991 and 1992, leading specialists in their field renovated a mediaeval glass furnace fired by wood. It is a unique technical construction that was nominated to become a state protected landmark. In 1992-1994 three experimental melting sessions were carried out to check the mediaeval technology of melting, cooling and shaping glass. The glass was shaped by our best glass makers from Novoborsko.
