Before we start our trip, it is good idea to remember that movement in the sandstone rock town can give you a whole new experience, but it also requires discipline, which all visitors must observe. That concerns children as well. This shall apply to the protection of the unique environment as well as to the protection of your own health.
The starting point for this trip is the Tiské stěny Tourist Cottage. A parking lot is located near the cottage behind the village. From the cottage we will follow the yellow sign towards the crossroad sign "On the Border" (2 km). Throughout the entire length of this road we will be going slightly down on a nice forest road and through a young mixed-tree forest. After about 500 m from the cottage we will find a nice viewing post where we can enjoy views of the northern part of the Tiské Rocks. From the border crossing called Na státní hranici (At the State Border) (Germany), we will follow the yellow sign towards "Ostrov" (2 km). We will mostly continue on a declining path until we reach the recreational village of Ostrov. Here we will be welcomed by the picturesque scenery of the Ostrovské Rocks, whose image is reflected by the crystal clear waters of ponds surrounded by meadows with cleverly scattered cottages. This beauty spot calls for rest and refreshment. You have many options here as you may select from a tourist cottage to luxurious hotel. From Ostrov we will follow the red sign towards "Tiské Walls" (2.5 km) Right after the village we will begin with a steep climb until our road is surrounded from both sides by steep rock towers of the Volské Stones (Bull Stones). In a seemingly impenetrable wall of rock you will find narrow corridors, which we shall examine in detail. Behind the Bull Stones we go up only for a while and then we continue on a nearly flat plane until we reach the tourist cottage and the crossroad sign Tiské Walls.
