Mezihoří became a popular holiday resort in the era between the two world wars known as the First Republic in the Czech Republic. Before the war there were two tourist tracks leading to Mezihoří, one from Chomutov and the other one from Jirkov. In the 1930s the cross country championship was organised here. Several dozen contestants took part in the championship. At the end of the 1940s a small downhill jump was still in operation here (with a landing area approximately on the site of the present-day cash office at the skiing resort), another jump was available in the nearby resort of Blatno. Mezihoří is still a popular holiday resort. In particular in winter it is heaving. Ski-lifts have been in operation here since the 1950s. First, there was only one lift, that was pulling up heavy iron sledges with skiers. This type of lift was replaced with a hook lift system. The same system was used by the lift on the small slope that was also equipped with artificial lighting.
The SKI resorts can offer:
- two lifts
- two downhill skiing slopes (red + blue)
- machine maintained downhill slopes
- artificial snow system in the whole resort
- both downhill slopes are lit up
- SKI buffet with an outside terrace
