Nature lovers should not forget to visit the Botanical Gardens in Teplice. The gardens were founded in the 2nd half of the 19th century by Clary Aldringen. After a complete reconstruction in 2006 new greenhouses with a café and adjacent gardens were opened to the public. The Botanical Gardens are situated in the south of the town in the suburbs of Šanov, near the Písečný Peak and Janáčkovy Park. Nearly half of the two hectares of the land is dedicated to outdoor exhibitions, the imposing greenhouses cover the area of 2,400 m², and what's more, the Botanical Gardens also boast additional greenhouses covering another 1,750 m², but these are not accessible to the public.
