Rájec Rocks represent a uniform massif of hard sandstone with rocky towers, passages, windows and other segmentation. The rocky massif starts at the national border of the Czech Republic and Germany and goes southeast towards the village of Tisá where after ca 1.5 km it merges into the area of Tiské stěny.
The area is divided into three parts: the area of Ptačí stěny (Birds' Walls) covers the rocks from the national border to the Rájec- Ostrov road. The rocks can be accessed from the big car park in the middle of the village or from the car park at the crossroad for Ostrov. The rocks by the border are not very frequented, and therefore it will be only you surrounded by the wilderness when climbing or walking. The Rájec Valley is the largest and the most important part of the area. This picturesque valley has many places offering refuge from the sun, with is a small brook and also natural sandpits for children. The area of Rájec Rocks is a part of the Labské Sandstone Protected Landscape Area.
