The Úhošť nature reserve is located on the outskirts of the Doupovské Mountains. It is located on the right bank of the River Ohře between the settlements of Brodce and Pokutice. Thanks to its typical shape, the Úhošť nature reserve is also called "mesa" -the table mountain. If you decide to climb up the table mountain, you will be rewarded with beautiful views across the Doupovské and Krušné Mountains and the wide surroundings. You can see Klášterec, Kadaň and Chomutov. On the northern side of the rocky precipices there is a statue of the Kadaň artist Herbert Kisza - a memorial to all the different cultures that have lived in this place. In this locality you can find 1,000 out of the 3,000 plant species recorded in the Czech Republic. The sea level of this table mountain situated in the foothills of the Doupovské Mountains is 591 m and the plateau on the top covers approximately 80 hectares.
