The former riding school was built by the Schicht Works and there was an indoor riding hall and stables for 20 horses on the site of the present-day winter stadium before the Second World War. After the liberation the local riding club, now called SVAZARM, had four horses loaned from the army; a special written authorisation had to be signed. In the summer of 1949 the riding club became a part of the PE Association Sokol Ústí nad Labem and in 1950 the first post-war tournament took place. Although the name of the club has changed over the time, one thing remained - its enthusiastic members ready to do whatever was necessary for the horses and riding itself. This is still true today. Children not only learn how to ride a horse, but mainly how to look after it and how to be responsible for its well-being. In reward they get to participate in very specially designed agility competitions for children where they can show off their riding skills. Advanced riders can obtain a riding licence and start participating in riding competitions using the club's horses. Club members regularly participate in horse riding training programmes.
