The 29 m tall observation tower is undoubtedly a landmark of the town, which can be seen from far away. The observation tower and a restaurant were built on the clinkstone hill called Hrádek by Varnsdorf members of the Mountaineering Association for North Bohemia in 1904, and it was designed by the architect Möler. A foundation called Hrádek-Burgsberg was established to rescue the tower in 2000. Currently, the tower is undergoing an extensive reconstruction. In 2003 the observation tower was reopened and visitors can enjoy beautiful circular views of the town of Varnsdorf and Seifhennersdorf with a backdrop of the Lusatian Mountains.
