From the At St. Peter and Pauls Guesthouse you will walk downhill for 1 km until you reach the village of Vlastislav.
Vlastislav: Besides the clearly visible Skalka Castle, on the west side of the former castle tower above the northern edge of the village – on the rocky terrace above Modla Brook – created from Palaeozoic rocks, you may see invisible remnants of Slavic settlement built in the 9th century, which belonged to Lucký Prince Vlastislav see The Lucká War (A.Jirásek) – Today all covered with soil. Today we may only notice (from of the opposite side of the village) the bulwark – from the brook side walk down to the left – behind the village you will find a crossroad with a red sign pointing towards the village of Chrastná 1 km – follow the red signs and the forest road all the way to the village of Děkovka. 500 m behind the village (on the road) you will encounter a blue sign pointing to the left – towards Oltářík Castle or you may simply continue to follow the blue sign across the village of Dřemčice all the way to Třebívlice – total length 10 km
. Austere classical palace was rebuilt from scratch in 1837 (used for school purposes). During the second half of 19th century until 1899, the late love of the German poet Goethe, Baroness Ulrike von Levetzow lived here (died at the age of 95). A small museum exposition, focusing on her life and about historical facts and context in Třebívlice is found in the garden shed at the edge of the chateau park (on the left side near the road to Solana). Baroness Ulrika is buried in the recently restored tomb at the local cemetery. You may purchase a publication about her life in the guesthouse in Sutomi.
You may select your return road:
- 1 station by the BUS – Departure from Třebívlice at the intersection 0.6 km to the north of the village centre, where the charter bus/train Žatec – Třebívlice –Třebenice – Lovosice also stops as does the supplemental train (BUS 572545). This road is very busy: 1. Get off in Podsedice (3.5 km) – form the bus stop you will walk and cross the main road and continue around a deteriorated barn further down on a small 3rd class road for 2 km all the way to Vlastislav – 1 km behind the chateau – climb towards Sutom.

Or you may ride ( 10 km) all the way to Třebenice, square, and find yourself near the Museum of Czech garnets - in season you may visit the museum until 16:00, or you may follow the green sign - the path between gardens and forest for 4 km until you find yourself under the castle Košťálov and then follow the yellow sign through the woods towards Sutom (the last 500 m on unmarked forest asphalt road). The forest road ends in the village of Sutom. In the last 200 m you will climb up to the church and to the guesthouse in the former rectory.
