The single nave Pseudo-Gothic Church from 1877 with a tower over its main portal is one of the historic landmarks of Lužice that has survived. The original church, dating back to 1352, was formerly situated on a different site - in the cemetery on the road to Dobrčice. In 1998 the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic declared the church part of the Czech cultural heritage.

The old oak tree, known also as the fat tree or thousand year old tree, has been honoured by generations of Osek inhabitants. As mark of the respect that the locals have for the tree, the oak tree became one of the attributes of the municipal emblem. In the past the oak tree in Osek used to serve as an important reference point, being situated on the much frequented access road to Osek.
