The church was built in the Neo-Gothic style in 1893 - 1895. This cultural heritage has been owned by the village of Libochovany since 2008, and the church is slowly being repaired. This elm avenue is unique in terms of its age. There are 70 elm trees over 100 years old. Individual trees reach the height of 10 to 20 metres, and the girth of the trees is anywhere from 180 cm up to 470 cm, which is quite impressive. The elms are protected by the conservation order, being "the last fragment of the Baroque countryside on this side of the foothills of the Krušné Mountains".

Kadaň Museum is situated in a building of the former Franciscan Cloister, which boasts a truly interesting history. The Franciscan Cloister, as a historically valuable building, was added onto the list of National Cultural Heritage sights in 1995. There are three permanent museum exhibitions: Mineralogy, Cloister Life, and Looking into the History of Kadaň. The mineralogy collection has been located in the cellars of the cloister since 1999.
This memorial to the victims of the death transport was unveiled in 1948; memorial services take place here very year.
